Just a quick announcement that there’s a private game going on at Hogback this weekend that you regulars are invited to! The game is a noon game - make sure to show up at 12:00, and is with a group (I think) from General Dynamics who have invited us to play in their private game.
Thanks to Joseph, a friend of Yvonne, for inviting us! For more information, see the comments under the last post “Sadly No Pics for July”, or email Jen for a link to the evite (or leave a comment saying you want more info.)
Since I was hosting a shower for a friend of mine, I was at home - along with my camera - for the paintball game at Hogback Mountain, so sadly, there are no photos to show off for the July game.
I heard that it was a blast, and Brad, who had a raging sinus infection, still had a great time. I’m trying to get him to write a brief re-cap of the game so you guys and reminisce (or read about what you missed!), so we’ll see if that happens.
Stay tuned - we’ll announce the date for the August game in the next couple of days!
Our July game has come up fast! This game will again be at Hogback Mountain in Leesburg. If you’d like to print out the waiver for the game beforehand so you don’t have to spend time doing it there, just click on this link.
Since it’s going to be another hot day out, remember to hydrate, wear sunscreen, and wear light layers. Bringing some tick-repellent might also be a good idea since we’ll be in the woods and it is tick season.
It sounds like we have some more new folks joining us, so I just wanted to point out our “Newcomers” section at the top of this page which has some FAQ’s. There’s also a good article/page from Paintball.com just for New Players (click here), which goes over what type of gun to buy, tactics, etc. which is pretty interesting.
As always, check back here the day before, or the day of, the game to see if there are any updates or changes!
I will sadly be unable to join everyone this game, but Brad will be there - so if you have any questions on the day of the game, check your evite invitation and call Brad on the number listed there.
Another great event at Hogback Mountain yesterday! Thanks to everyone that came out who made the game so much fun. To view more pictures from the event scroll down to the right and select the link under “Photos” - and don’t forget to check out our June “Honorable Mentions,” also to the right.
(And just as a friendly reminder - please remember to check yourselves for ticks!)
For more details/to carpool, please contact us! (To contact us if you don’t have our email or cell numbers, just leave a comment anywhere on the blog and we’ll get back to you ASAP!)
Thank you to everyone who came out March 29th to make it a successful game!
Welcome!
If you're a first-time visitor to this site - welcome! Please check out our "About Us" page if you have any questions. If you were directed to this site by a friend, or our monthly evite, feel free to check out the "Newcomer" page.
March Paintball "Honorable Mentions"
Hard Core:
Caron for making a suicide run in the last 30 seconds on the Choke Point field to make it to the flag - if it hadn't been for a trip-up on the bridge she probably would have made it!
Best Run:
Best "kamikaze" run goes to the Blue Team who thought they could make a suicide run on the Fort and took being pelted with paintballs with pride. :)
New Folks:
Angie, Matt, Pierce, Piere, Gary, Dave, Lauren, Todd, Patrick, and pretty much the entire Yellow Team!
Since we’re getting more interest from individuals under the age of 18 I thought it’d be prudent to add this section for kids 17 and under, as well as their parents:
* Please note, that all Paintball fields require a waiver to be signed. That waiver must be signed by the parent or guardian of any person under the age of 17. We will NOT sign for anyone who has not gotten their parents signature/consent to play.
* While safety is #1, we are not babysitters for anyone under the age of 18. If you send your child with us, know that we will do our best to watch over them and keep them safe, but their health and safety is their own responsibility.
* We assume that anyone that comes to play paintball with us is paying their own way.
* We do carpool, but in order to carpool with us, you must have the means of getting to our house; we do not pick up people at their houses.
* If you are under the age of 18 and are interested in playing with us, but you or your parents have additional questions, go to the "Newcomers" section or leave us a comment on this website and we’ll get back to you within 24-48 hours.
